29 Mar Kids Haven School in Ghana welcomed as many as 60 new students!
Since the beginning of this year, Kids Haven School, run by the Omenaa Foundation, a school for street children in Ghana, has taken under its care as many as 60 students from another local school. Thanks to this, children not only receive educational support but also meals. The students come from extremely poor families, where survival is a daily struggle.
To address the problem of food scarcity, we have built a chicken farm next to the school, which not only provides additional food for the school but also economically empowers women from the local community.
We have also started the construction of a bathroom and toilet at their former school, which are essential to ensure hygienic learning and living conditions. Furthermore, we plan to build a new, brick school for the children this year. The current wooden structure is at risk of collapsing and requires immediate intervention.
Thanks to the support and dedication of our donors, we are providing a better future for children who often have no chance at a normal life. Thank you!
