14 Apr Visit of Ambassador Laura Ranalli to Kids Haven School
This past Wednesday was a truly special day for the students of Kids Haven School. We had the great honor of welcoming Her Excellency Ambassador Laura Ranalli, Head of the Italian Diplomatic Mission in Accra. From early morning, there was a joyful buzz among the children, excited about the visit of such an inspiring guest. After the morning classes, everyone was ready to greet our visitors with open arms. Our main goal was to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making sure Ambassador Ranalli felt at home with us.
We welcomed Ms. Laura with music and dance – a gesture deeply rooted in Ghanaian culture, symbolizing respect and hospitality. To the rhythm of drums, we moved to the event space, where our wonderful Julia led the artistic part of the celebration. The highlight of the day was the moment we all stood together to listen to the Italian national anthem, which echoed throughout the Child Protection Center. Our students paid tribute to Italian history and tradition with great respect and sincerity.

After the performances, it was time to get to know each other better – every child had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the Ambassador and express their personality, sensitivity, and unique way of being. Ms. Laura greeted us with great warmth, remembering many of the children’s names, which brought them immense joy.

We also managed to take a group photo in front of the school – a wonderful keepsake that perfectly captures the joyful atmosphere of the visit. Afterwards, Ambassador Ranalli had the opportunity to tour the school. Our students proudly guided the guests around Kids Haven School, showing them their favorite places, including the J‑Labs Kids Academy computer room, the relaxing Wedel Relaxation Room, and our psychological counseling office.

During the tour, we shared a brief overview of the projects we are carrying out in Ghana, with particular emphasis on our largest initiative – the Kids Haven Sport & Art Complex. This upcoming space will serve as a hub for developing athletic talents and fostering community integration.

The children are already eagerly looking forward to the next meeting with Ambassador Laura Ranalli, whose presence left behind a lasting impression of warmth and openness.
