RiO Center: Future Makers

It is inspiring meetings youth with people who, with their lives, passion and commitment, are an authority for young people. Through this initiative we want to help young people discover their own talents, expand horizons and consciously build a career path.
Future Makers is a project dedicated to young people aged 14-18 from childcare centers or Social Welfare Centers operating in Warsaw. As part of the meetings, participants will take among others Gallup test, meet inspiring people from various industries and take part in workshops developing a sense of proficiency and self-confidence.
Project Objective:
- To inspire young people - by meeting with successful people in various fields; to show that there are many ways to achieve dreams and goals.
- Motivating - encouraging young people to take initiative, develop passions and build confidence in their abilities.
- Broadening horizons - presenting a variety of career paths, including less obvious ones, so that participants can explore their interests.
- Building soft skills - shaping such attitudes as creativity, courage, openness to change or ability to cooperate.
- Connecting education with practice - showing how knowledge gained at school can translate into real actions in professional life.
- Promoting a proactive attitude - encouraging people to seek opportunities for development on their own and take responsibility for their own future.
- Networking - enabling young people to establish relationships with inspiring mentors and peers with similar aspirations.
- Strengthening the sense of empowerment - realizing that regardless of where you come from or your current resources, you can shape your future.
So far, guests of Future Makers have been journalist Joanna Krynska, artist Igor Dobrowolski and singer Bambi, or Michalina Wlodarczyk. Meetings with young people are conducted by Monika Borowiecka.
