Kids Haven Sport & Art Complex

In 2024, Omenaa Foundation launched a key infrastructure project in Ghana - a holistic sports and arts center located at Kids Haven School. Its goal is to create a safe and inspiring space for the all-round development of children, combining sports, education and art with health care. The Kids Haven Sport & Art Complex will feature soccer fields, basketball and volleyball courts, tennis courts, an athletic treadmill, a motor preparation center with locker rooms, a medical clinic, a psychological center and a cafeteria, among other facilities. This is a place where children will be able to spend time actively, strengthen body and mind, develop talents, and learn cooperation and self-discipline. 

The Kids Haven Sport & Art Complex will also provide a creative space for Ghanaian and international artists to carry out their projects here as part of artist residencies. The entire complex will be complemented by an Art Garden, a garden with space for six outdoor sculptures. Omenaa Mensah plans to invite medical students and young doctors to the center, who, as volunteers, will provide comprehensive medical and psychological care to the children. International cooperation will become an important aspect of operations - the center will host artists from around the world as part of residency programs. 

June 2025 saw the completion of the first phase of work - the construction of a soccer field with full technical facilities. One of the key moments in the inauguration of the construction of Kids Haven Sport & Art Complex was the groundbreaking ceremony - a symbolic gesture marking the start of a project of great social and educational significance. The event was attended by Omenaa Foundation president Omenaa Mensah, main contractor Prosper Mawufemor Godzo, as well as a group of invited guests and ambassadors of the complex, including Sylwia Dobrzycka - chairwoman of the Philanthropy Consortium, Ewa Chodakowska and Pops Mensah-Bonsu. 

The project is initiated by the Omenaa Foundation, and is being built thanks to the generosity and commitment of donors - participants in the TOP CHARITY initiative. The grand opening of Kids Haven Sport & Art Complex is scheduled for the second half of 2026. The sports and art complex will benefit the wards of Kids Haven School and Child Protection Center. The local community will also be an important group of beneficiaries.
