San Francisco, CA — Polish-born philanthropist of Ghanaian heritage, entrepreneur, and social impact leader Omenaa Mensah received the Global Woman of Impact Award during Super Bowl weekend in San Francisco, becoming the first honoree from outside the United States in the 25-year history of Off The Field NFL Wives Association, the official philanthropic organization of NFL players’ wives and partners. Mensah is the founder of TOP CHARITY — a European cross-sector philanthropy platform that brings together business leaders, artists, and global partners to fund education, humanitarian aid, and long-term social development initiatives across continents.

The award was presented during the Super Bowl Charity Fashion Show — a high-profile annual gathering that brings together leaders from sports, culture, business, and philanthropy. Mensah’s recognition reflects the increasingly global nature of modern philanthropy and the growing presence of cross-continental leadership in addressing complex social challenges.

The moment carries added resonance during Black History Month, highlighting the global influence of women of African heritage in shaping inclusive models of leadership, philanthropy, and community empowerment.

This award represents every girl who was ever told she wasn’t enough — and chose to keep going anyway” – said Mensah while accepting the honor. “When I was six, my father told me I would have to work twice as hard to prove my worth. I never imagined I would stand on a stage like this one day. I believe success carries responsibility — and we have a duty to lift others as we rise – said Omenaa Mensah.

A Global Philanthropy Leader Bridging Continents

For more than 12 years, Mensah has built large-scale philanthropic initiatives that connect business leaders, artists, institutions, and global partners around long-term, systemic social change.

She is the founder of TOP CHARITY, one of Europe’s fastest-growing cross-sector philanthropy platforms, known for combining high-level cultural events with transparent, impact-driven fundraising. The initiative has drawn international engagement from leaders including Shaquille O'Neal and Richard Branson, while Jill Biden has attended as an honorary guest. TOP CHARITY also collaborates with the Obama Foundation, and Mensah’s foundation supports the development of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

Since its launch, TOP CHARITY has mobilized the equivalent of over $35 million for education, humanitarian aid, and long-term social development initiatives, positioning Central and Eastern Europe as an emerging voice in global philanthropy.

Mensah’s broader philanthropic ecosystem includes long-term education and development initiatives in Africa, Europe, and beyond, with a strong focus on dignity, opportunity, and sustainable community empowerment.
